Procedures
Here's what to expect.
Thermography
After you are greeted by our friendly certified clinical thermographer, the appointment begins with a review of your health history and current concerns. You will receive a paper gown so that you can remove your clothing from the area being scanned. The technician will instruct you when and what area to disrobe so that proper images may be taken. You will be asked to either sit on a stool or stand, and the images will be taken using a digital infrared camera without body contact.
After your scan is completed, our technician will review, not interpret, your images. Next, your information is uploaded through a secure server and assigned to a medical doctor for interpretation. Once we receive your completed report, we send it directly to you and any other health care practitioners requested. This typically happens within two weeks of your appointment (a rush option is available for an additional fee).
If you have any questions or concerns after receiving your results, we offer complimentary phone consultations to review your report with you. Your images are archived for seven years.
Ultrasound
After you are greeted by our friendly sonographer, the appointment begins with a review of your health history and current concerns. You will receive a paper gown so that you can remove your clothing from the area being scanned. The technician will instruct you when and what area to disrobe so that proper images may be taken. The sonographer will apply gel and use a small hand-held wand, called a transducer, which she will gently press to your skin on the area being scanned.
Your information is then uploaded through a secure server and assigned to a Radiologist for final interpretation. Once we receive your completed report, we send it directly to you and any other health care practitioners requested. This typically happens within two weeks of your appointment (a rush option is available for an additional fee).
If you have any questions or concerns once receiving your results, we offer complimentary phone consultations to review your report with you. Your images are archived for seven years.
Multimodal
After you are greeted by our friendly certified clinical thermographer, the appointment begins with a review of your health history and current concerns. You will receive a paper gown so that you can remove your clothing from the area being scanned. The technician will instruct you when and what area to disrobe so that proper images may be taken. You will be asked to either sit on a stool or to stand and the images will be taken using a digital infrared camera without body contact. Once completed, you will then proceed to your ultrasound appointment.
Our friendly sonographer will also review your health history and current concerns. You will receive a paper gown so that you can remove your clothing from the area being scanned. The technician will instruct you when and what area to disrobe so that proper images may be taken. The sonographer will apply gel and use a small hand-held wand, called a transducer, which she will gently press to your skin on the area being scanned.
After both appointments are completed, the ultrasound images are first sent to a Radiologist for interpretation. We then send the ultrasound findings with your thermography images to our panel of Thermologists for interpretation. Once we receive the final reports, we send a copy directly to you and any other health care practitioners requested. This typically happens within two weeks of your appointment (a rush option is available for an additional fee). Although ultrasound images are usually only helpful for a physician to review, we can provide this disc upon request and for an additional fee.
If you have any questions about your reports, we offer complimentary phone consultations and will assist you in feeling confident in the next steps of your wellness journey.

What should I expect on the day of my appointment?

Where are you located? / Are you in a mobile unit in a parking lot?
We are mobile in that we partner with various doctor’s offices, clinics, and a variety of other locations to bring our services into their offices. We are not in an outside mobile unit, we have a private room inside each location and most have designated parking.
Will the room be extremely cold? Do you perform the “cold stress” test?
Our scans are done in a climate-controlled room in that it is a comfortable temperature, but our cameras do not require a specific setting that other cameras need. The reason for that is other cameras will pick up the “ambient” room radiation instead of focusing just on the person being scanned. Since our camera is calibrated just for human/clinical settings we do not have to worry about that.
Do I need a Doctor’s order or referral?
No, in the majority of cases. Many clients come to us of their own initiative while other are referred by various health practitioners. However, if you have a current breast cancer diagnosis then you may need an order for a breast ultrasound exam.
How will I get my results?
It typically takes about two weeks to receive your report via email. We do have a rush option to receive the results within 1-2 business days for an additional $50 fee. Paper copies can be mailed for an additional fee.
Will my doctor be able to interpret my results?
There will not be any need for your doctor to interpret the images taken as they will already be read and interpreted by medical doctors. The report you receive will be very similar to an x-ray or CT report, with the interpretations and follow up advice included and easy to take to your doctor for correlation and further testing.
What if I don’t understand what the report says?
We wish to make sure you have complete peace of mind with your exam. If, for any reason, you don’t understand something on your report or need clarification, feel free to call our office or send us an email and we can schedule you for a complimentary phone consultation to review your results with you. For those who have an abnormal breast scan or have a full body scan, we automatically follow up with a phone call since there can be a lot of information to understand.
